Dear Lara - Film Screening
Dear Cal State LA Community, join us for a screening of Dear Lara, a powerful documentary about acclaimed violinist Lara St. John, exploring her experience as a young student at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music, where she endured abuse by an older instructor, and the lasting impact it had as she navigated institutional challenges and the need for survivor support.
The event will also feature a live Q&A with Lara St. John following the film.
